The relationship between corporate security and cyber security has been a hot topic among corporate security professionals for almost two decades. Today, business, security, and cyber leaders agree that alignment between corporate and cyber security is vital to operational resilience, but many do not understand their options, what would work best for their company, or how to get started.
There is increased urgency to get this right: cyber risk is growing and is a top concern for boards; volatility and geopolitical instability have brought physical security centre stage; there is greater understanding of the interconnections between cyber and corporate security; boards are demanding a more unified view of risk; skills shortages and high CISO turnover impact cyber preparedness; and regulation is sharpening the attention of senior leaders to plug these gaps.
The Clarity Factory has launched a major new industry-wide study on the relationship between corporate security and cyber security that will provide CSOs, CISOs and senior business leaders with new data and actionable insights to enable them to optimise the relationship between corporate security and cyber security. It is kindly supported by a number of multinationals, including Barclays, BP, Johnson Matthey, and Scentre Group.
The study will document:
- The business case for alignment between corporate security and cyber security.
- The different models of alignment and how to choose the right one for your company.
- How to achieve alignment and realise the full benefits in practice.
It will address issues, such as: changing threat and business environments; areas of responsibility across functions; talent, skills, and qualifications; language and terminology; resourcing; effective leadership; governance, including committees and board reporting; and regulation.
The study can help you in the following ways:
- New data to help you benchmark your approach to the relationship between corporate security and cyber security.
- Anonymous case studies to bring to life trends and emerging good practices.
- Models setting out the key options for alignment between corporate security and cyber security and guidance about how to choose the right approach for your company.
